The challenge

The author approached us to help her with concept and design of a series of books that would showcase the collection of the Art Gallery of New South Wales to children. The difficulty was that these books typically look too serious or are disrespectful of the famous artworks contained in them.

The solution

De Luxe used bold, simple typography to complement the works in the books and present them clearly as attractive, commercial childrens’ books. The Gallery is extremely happy with the result and readers are loving the books.
