Time magazine in Hong Kong asked de Luxe & Associates to produce a document that would truly stand out from the crowd (have ‘cut through’ as our marketing friends like to say) to draw the attention of advertisers to their worldwide upcoming ‘Interactive’ edition. The additional challenge was to explain the details of a special edition that had no content or written material yet.
We created a concertina brochure with a detachable ‘clicker thing’ as the last panel. A truly interactive brochure. The fine quality of paper and printing combined to make this a stunningly memorable and successful piece of communication for Time Inc.
Asiaweek was a significant regional publication for Asia with persistently difficult revenue. With a new editor in place and a mandate to "redefine business" de Luxe was asked to be involved in the re-creation of ASIAWEEK. To rebuild a magazine that could stand on its own in the region.
