The challenge

De Luxe was commissioned to devise a publication for the East Asia Foundation, a South Korean ‘think tank’. The publication needed to carry a seriousness befitting the contributing authors’ status (former and serving national leaders etc) and a style cachet that would allow it to stand out as an enjoyable, accessible read.

The solution

We worked around a convenient, compact size and invested heavily in developing the information/Illustration side of the product. We developed thematic concepts for groups of stories and we continue to work closely with the editors to coordinate design and editorial components into an magazine that is both intellectually and aesthetically pleasing.
