Asiaweek was a significant regional publication for Asia with persistently difficult revenue. With a new editor in place and a mandate to “redefine business” de Luxe was asked to be involved in the re-creation of ASIAWEEK. To rebuild a magazine that could stand on its own in the region.
De Luxe began by modernising the layout and typography of the magazine and bringing a contemporary but systematic approach to the new structure. In conjuction with the editor, we gave a concrete visual model to the new editorial attitude. We were also able to provide guidance on how to re-build the established structures to improve the workflow and internal communication for ASIAWEEK.
Now closed, its last glory came as it was awarded a Folio Magazine ‘Ozzie’ Award for best magazine redesign in a consumer magazine with circulation over 100,000.
